Rofl, well that makes a difference and yes I do know a bit about individual player strengths and weakness from most of the starters with about 8 teams but I can't give up all the knowledge(really isn't that much, play way to many browser games to devote to much time on one).

I'd give your side maybe a rating of 21 or 22 now, most certainly the fave now as it stands barring injuries, GS etc. I'll have to make a purchase or two this season. Really didn't want to, but if I want to have a chance at promotion it seems a formality.

Funny thing is, I put that bid on Ty days ago and had completely forgot about it. Woke up this morning and hey, new SG. and he's a bad ass. :)

From here on out I will probably look at replacing my bench players with actual players and not just cheapo scrubs.

Can't wait for the season to start up and get this show on the road. :)

Yeah it's shaping up to be very competitive with maybe 4 real chances for promotion and a few roughies. He's going to be tough to match up on. Willing to let me know what his inside shooting/defence is like skill wise? lol Sounds strange maybe to some to ask of that of a SG but I know how dangerous a good inside SG can be and seriously underated. Not many sides have guards or even SF's with good inside skills these days. I love to train up my guards with inside skills and will be working on that a bit this year. Pantelidis has played on many a opposition twice his salary and completely outplayed them, his salary is not a true indicator of ability. Not the most spectacular of shooters but not to shabby either but it's periphial skills like handling, passing and inside defence that make him so versitile, plus he has an amazing assist to turnover rate. Rarely turns the ball over even once a game. Just wish I did single position training on him, he would of been a superstar by now. Oh wells, my next round of youngsters(next year maybe depending on promotion) will be one position training exclusively and I'm looking forward to the project.

:)
I could tell you his stats, but I'm simply not that generous. haha

He is likely to play SG for most games.
He could do ok as PG/SF also. But I have solid players for those positions. :)

COME ON SATURDAY!

On the lookout for a certain player atm, have one lined up now but not sure if I'm willing to pay more than 550k, well thats my limit on this position I'm looking to fill.

Well ideally PF, I could compromise on a C or SF with the appropiate skills but that would involve maybe a further squad reshuffle. Really dislike even listing players, the fans hate it and I've noticed it can make a big difference on attendances. So yeah a PF, my budget ceiling barring any sales is about 40k salary but I might push that to 50k if needed.

so you're after a <$50k PF for <$550k purchase price.
If I get some time I'll have a look around, but you know what skill set you're after.
I'm assuming it's some decent IS/REB skills with nice JS/driving and good enough ID.

I like to have all my players well drilled defensively, both inside and out with rebounding something I've slowly been improving past couple of seasons with training and purchases. Shooting all round is important, likely focus more on outside but thats no secret. If I can get a PF with proficent OD and sensational ID and rebounding at least with no weakness(anything under mediocre I cringe at), I'll be reasonably happy. Obviously the younger the better, I don't mind paying a lil bit more for those 24-27 year olds. You can still get a few moulding pops and you get a few years of service at least with good resale value. Still, you've been around awhile and know all this :P

PS : My current starting PF is not to be underestimated, one of my fave players and if a similiar skill set came up I'd be tempted to pay alot of money. Outplays alot of other PF or out of position C's and SF's with wages 3 or more times his, sure he's not an inside monster but his skill set is very balanced with a slight favour towards inside skills. I'd happily keep him in the team on a salary of 25k not just the 9k he's on, he'd make a great back up and I might be able to get a few pops out of him yet if I find myself inclined to give him some training minutes. Still at 26 could be painful.

lol I'll take my chances against your $9k PF with my $60k PF? :P
If you towel me up then lesson learnt. Until then, I'll like my chances.

My boy Fernando is probably my secret weapon. :)
I could probably sell him easily for 1.2m if I wanted to.
And I will get some more pops out of him yet.

And my trainee's Aslam and Blackman will be quite formidable in a couple seasons.
Aslam will make NT as SF and Blackman should be a pretty epic PF when he's finished.

Anyways best of luck with your purchases, I can't wait to see what I'm going to be up against in the grand final series. :)
