Got a pair for manager of the week this week.

The 20yr olds are coming!

Mr Green and his Free Willy got a triple pop. Is, driving and handling. Gobble gobble gobble!

On top of that, fellow 20yr old Eric Nicodemou triple popped in JS, handling and Shot blocking! Coach K-romp and I were both stoked to see this! At 93TSP, the kid has some serious game!

A nice crushing win over Tounes overnight sees us back on track. Great to see Grabau burst out with a big one.

Player skills updated in the player skills thread on the federation.

This weeks manager of the week is hb_ of the cute puppies and his player Rupert Leunig, for "that pop" (youll need to see look at the pop in the fed). Great timing given our tough schedule as of this week.

Ive found keeping up with write ups and MVPs very hard with the late time of the game. Sorry for having not continued this weekly. Heres a catchup of the 3 games we have played so far:

Game 1 vs Italy:
3 votes- Phan (18 points, 11 boards)
2 votes- Dudley (16 points, 8 boards, 4 assists)
1 vote- Dearn (10 points, 7 assists, 2 boards)

Game 2 vs France:
3 votes- Phan (37 points on 16-22 FG, 12 boards, 5 assists)
2 votes- Grabau(15 points, 14 boards, 4 assists)
1 vote- Furlong (17 points, 9-11 FT, 4 assists, 3 boards)

Game 3 vs France:
3 votes- Grabau(24 points on 10-11 FG, 4 boards, 3 assists, 1 stl, 1 blk)
2 votes- Furlong (11 points, 6 assists, 5 boards, 2 blks, 2 stls)
1 vote- Nicodemou (12 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, 2 blks, 1 stl)

Well a disappointing loss to Team USA overnight. I found the 4th quarter hard to swallow, given we were going toe to toe in the first 3. I think they have quite a strong team, and have somewhat underperformed in this tournament up to this point.

Game shapes and training are all going nicely, keep those in tact and we may have a crack at the 2nd round.

MVPs
3 votes- Phan (23pts, 7 boards, 3 assists, 1 stl, 1 blk).
2 votes- Dearn (10pts, 6 boards, 3 assists).
1 vote- Leunig (9pts, 9 boards, 1 assist).

We lost our final game to Taiwan last night in very close circumstances. Took a risk to try and have a crack at the next stage, could have CTd them to progress but then screwed enthusiasm to have a crack at the semis. They were brave to go patient with their guards but it paid off for them. Kind of hurt them to normal us because the win doesn't follow on for them with us dropping out, but they lose enthusiasm. I'd picked them to tie.

Thanks to the managers for a greeat competitivve season, I'll be booking some scrimmages to keep the players experience rolling on.
