Doing it - 2.5M roughly on new seats. Will be a 14k stadium in 36 days (that wait is going to f'n suck).

For others, who might do something similar in the future...I would recommend not doing it all in one project...Especially if you are currently selling out or coming close, you are leaving money on the table...Do some Arena projects that will take 6 days, so that you can benefit from the new seats in your attendance revenue, and continue to make more and more money as you grow your arena. If you are already maxing out (few do), that's another thing...but in the time this one 36 day project finishes, you could have finished 5 smaller projects along the way and earn more money for each game as your arena grows.

Still got a cool Millionn left. Plenty left for hookers and blow.

Or a real center next season.

Empty seats are like fools gold. Empty seats don't make any baskets or free throws, empty seats don't make any steals or rebounds, empty seats don't make any three's or defend anyone. The money that you spend on empty seats could have been spent on players that do all of those things.

Empty seats built at lower divisions take a greater percentage of your weekly proceeds than the same number of empty seats built at a higher division. Empty seats are definitely, unequivocally fools gold.

To a point, but in general, I disagree. In this game, you need a lot of money and enough weekly finances to compete and make a run at the top league in the USA.

If you don't have an adequately sized arena, you won't have that potential. It limits the salary your roster can hold. So unless you're going to build a full team of uniquely talented, salary-efficient players that will take 7-10 seasons on 3 guys, you will have a hard time financing the salaries.

It's all about being able to have an arena size adequate enough to finance a division winning team at the next league in the promotion line. It would be interesting for someone to run an actual economic analysis on this. Obviously, different leagues have different thresholds, and salaries don't fully encompass talent, but I would be willing to bet there is a significant relationship there.

Dear new players,

Don't listen to Mike Franks. He doesn't understand how this game works. Focusing on building your arena and training players are the two smartest things you can do instead of spending your money on players. This game is a more of an economic game than a basketball game. When you are in DIV you should have your arena built for DIII before you promote, DIII to DII, DII to DI, etc. You potentially will lose millions of dollars if you don't. You don't have to build a 20k arena right away, but its not a death sentence like Mike would want you to believe.

The only time you should be looking to really buy players is if you have enough resources to win a championship and promote. If you do not have enough resources to win a championship, your team should be as a close to the salary floor as possible and really only field a team competitive enough to not relegate. If you don't have enough resources to do that, you should be investing in the draft and trying to get the #1 pick.

Being a competitive team with no shot at a championship is the worst thing you can do in this game. Players are a depreciating asset, so you will want to limit as much as possible how many player you buy. Train train train.
