6'6 AS talent, with a "PF" build, sounds like the good building blocks already for a SF if you trained him.

His JS JR OD and Driving are all really bad (pitiful to mediocre range). I can make him a SF but he'll never be a top player. 20 bumps just to get those 4 to strong. It's probably what I'll do though.

He may never be a top player, but he can still draw in merchandise for you as a homegrown player, and he can still be an effective cup/scrimmage player and backup at higher divisions.

Its not so easy to get to the NBBA either where you would need a top player.

I have shifted my thinking about allstar potential. I think they are tremendously undervalued compared to PAS. If you play around with the salary calculator, you can create some really interesting builds in the 110+ TSP range. 20 OD, 17 ID, 17 SB can fit inside the allstar hard cap. So can 20 OD, 20 IS, 18 DR, 18 HA. All those builds would also be super salary efficiency and desired by every managers in every division which would drive TL list price up.

20 IS and all that DR and HA? No thank you.

But seriously, yeah, allstar players can be quite nice.

I believe that player falls in the SF cap. He's probably right at the soft cap. HA/DR/PA/SB take up the least amount of potential cap space on a SF build. Training 1v1 or SB would be a little risky because of the chance of JS, IS, ID, and RB secondary pops would be too great. If you want to maximize your pops, I would go with alot of PA and maybe even some Ballhandling. There is a risk of OD pops with ballhandling but much less of a risk than 1v1 popping JS/IS and SB poping ID/RB. I think you can get 10+ pops easy with that regimine maybe even 15.

its a start, its something..

But yeah, I fired both my allstar trainees I got for usa and utopia team, you can get much better trainees off the tl for 5k rather than waste your time for some paltry merch.

You'd be surprised at the merch difference of being all your own draftees vs players you buy.
