I’ve had 1 TV loss and zero losses against my rival. My losses came against the other top teams in the league.

I read somewhere that the merch facility only increases merch income by the same amount as the weekly cost (level 1 facility costs $5k a week and increases merch by $5k a week), is that actually the case? I’m a little broke at the moment so any big arena costs are a long way off for me. Also paying $4mil on the arena for a 24k a week increase feels like a bad decision to me, that’s over 3 real life years to break even!.

I just find it hard to believe that only adding a merch facility or arena would improve my merchandise income.

I agree your income is too low, and I do not understand all of the elements concurring to that amount. But about arena and merch store I can say, by my experience:

- the merch store gives only 5k more (+20k income-15k cost), I prefer the max level because I hope that the BB devs included some other kind of (still unseen) benefit with the higher level, it would be really dumb to have 3 levels of cost for having the same amount of net income!

- it's true, the big arena must be planned in advance for a long time, but the extra merch is not the only benefit you have to consider, otherwise I would agree that 3RL years are too much even for a long term strategy game like BB. The other benefit is that you do not pay any weekly fee because of the initial investment and you have in your economy summary those extra money to spend for an extra salary of players or specialist, without paying the extra tax for a negative balance. And this is a competitive advantage that you won't have keeping the 4mln money in your pockets.

take these like personal opinions, not as a "truth revelation"

We’ll both my U21 NT players should double in salary next season so hopefully that will improve my merchandise.

I will have to consider looking at at least the level 1 merch facility. Do any of the others help merchandise? Maybe the TV station? Are the cheaper arenas worth their value? From what I understand the costs don’t stack (ie the 4mil arena will always cost 4mil even if I have a 500k arena), unlike the facilities. I don’t see many top teams in England with expensive arenas.

I purchased a 200K arena early, which is one of the cheapest, but did notice a slight increase in merch immediately. Would love a more expensive one, but since carrying a NT player in div 2 and 3 for the past 7 seasons or so simply haven't been able to make the jump. I also have a level one merch store, which also gave what appears to be a $5k boost, but it's hard to know exactly because merch changes weekly. I've noticed keeping players on your roster longer helps, if you are chopping and changing regularly it seems to drop merch, which possibly also factors into the home grown player effect.
