I'm extremely happy that I won the right game:D Haha...but talking seriously about BB and future of this game in general, the result of the scrimmage shouldn't be ignored. Honestly, I can't imagine how it's possible to lose having such a big advantage (by some random factors?).

I don't know, maybe the scrimmage games are played on different rules (a different engine?) but if the random factor could affect the game that much it would be crazy. Maybe Justin could refer to this.

One more thing: I remember similar tests (as we did with manager of Poland today) with the same lineups, the same conditions) long time ago in the past. Then results were the same. Something had to be changed. When? I think changes in engine should be clearly annunced.

So you are complaining the GE didn't let you steal this one as well?

I not think its question of win or lose, but if the same exactly game , same all, can go with a 26 point delta of difference we are playing from years a game that should be called flip the coin, not buzzerbeater....
Its embarassing for the whole games, for people Who try to analize things, putting efford and time, when things can go anyway in so different way with same settings

Unless one team is far superior, you would expect a variety of results to be possible given the same input. Over a large sample the games would skew towards the best team (e.g TeamA might win 600/1000 games by an average of 3 points), but this is only two games.

It doesn't mean preparing the team is a waste of time, it just means you give yourself the best chance of winning and then it's out of your hands. It happens all the time in real life, especially sports.

The scores make this look a lot different than what actually happened. With 4 minutes left in both games, in the final Lietuva was winning 75-70 where in the scrimmage, Poland was winning 72-70. So the scores were very similar late into the game, but the fouling is what made the final scores as wide of margins as they were. The randomness is there, but it is not as crazy as these scores make it out to be. Very cool experiment, though!

Totally agree, the randomness of GE is not something new its been here for ages and of course it is the deciding factor for close matches
