I have quite a few points saved up but I agreecwith Perpete. I have them so they're not costing anything.

What I like about the new system is the cost per point is progressively more with each choice, whereas before the cost per point was the same for all but the highest choice.

It might means more points spent by teams in draft=more better players(skills&potential).
Let's see

Actually a great training facility
This is exactly what I was worried about

Introducing effectively more cheaper points, but not raising at least the floor of how bad a draftee can be.

As of now it doesn't seem logical to even scout if you don't have picks 1-3, don't know if this change fixes it.

The amount of points spent does not change the skills & potential of the draftees.

Some experienced manager said so few weeks ago when we were discussing draft (one with lots of 5ball pot).
I assumed it made sense.
Sorry for missleading post.

Maybe draft points should be included in news for everyone

apparently there were 5 5ball 18 years old prospects in my last draft, I managed to uncover 3 and was able to draft only 1 of them. I guess this is extremely rare though.

I drafted a 18 y/o HoF with the 45th pick some days ago.
45th!!!
Almost every manager in my league had three chances to draft this guy. But nobody invested points, me included, into the draft. You can make a steal, even if you are going for the championship. It depends on your league and the managers in it, not the points.

Very good point - if I'm drafting in the top 10 I'm always spending some points - to have at least 1-2 targets on the top of my list - trying my luck - a player selling for more than what was spent on points is already bank, and if that HOF pops in, huge win. Outside of top 10 I'm also spending, just less
