I'm curious on how my PG.......was voted the 4th best PF in the Great 8. Shouldn't he be under the PG category?

I'm gonna say I don't understand how the votes are counted either. Of my 2 representatives, my SF kind of makes sense to start, the numbers of all the players are pretty close at least, but my PF beat out at least 1 clearly more worthy player at his position.

Add my vote to not really getting it. I only got one person on the whole roster. I expected him but I expected a couple of more too.

For players making it or not making it in their position, I can ort of get it. Maybe an average player on a bad team will seem to the fans as a better player as compared to a great player on a great team.

But for cross-positions, now I'm baffled. Maybe a SG voted in the allstar as a SF, okay as the 2 positions are quite closely linked in terms of their skillset. But a PG voted as a PF? How is this calculated? My PG in question, Waldemar Hergenröder, does not have the skills to play inside. Nor is he tall enough.

your PG played as a PF in at least one of your gales this season?

After checking the records, one.
And it's safe to say he didn't have the best of games.

that's not possible.

It should be a bug, players won't be selected for that position for the ASG if they didn't play the required minimum of x games this season.
You can't be an Allstar when you played 1 awesome game at 1 position.

it might be a bug yes, or it might be intended that way, but I suspect (not sure!) that once a player has played enough games, no matter his position, he is put into the all-star-bag,
then the system goes over the average performance of the player for the position(s) he played. It might be very possible if he played only 1 game, and performed very well at a given position, he will be selected...
I'm not sure the system works this way, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did either...

Following Juicepats' post I saw somewhere, there will be a bonus for players of teams that draw big crowds, or in other words, teams that draw bigger crowds, have more fans and fans are more likely to vote for a player of their favorite team. this way it might be possible the player with less performance still makes it...

Is all-star voting based on performance numbers alone or do skill helps get added in somehow?
