I am pleased with the team's performance last season 4
I am pleased with the team's performance this season 4.5
The team had a good run in the cup this year 2.5
The team played well in our last league game 5
The team played well the last time they were on TV N/A
The team played well in our last game against In your face, our hated rival N/A
I am familiar with the star players, and am not afraid that they will be transferred 3.5
The general manager is doing everything he can to try to improve the team 4.5

All things considered, I am happy with the direction the team is going in 4

That's what I've got...plus a level 9 PR guy.

The formula for the familiar with star players def needs a tweak by the reads of things..

Everyone makes transfers but i would imagine in the majority of cases most teams spine stays intact and only when a really good offer or replacement comes in do people part with their supposed 'stars'.

I think this should be reflected by maybe salaries / average performance so if you sell on a player consistently averaging 10.5+ you will feel the wrath of the fans but if you sell a fringe player then I dont feel that the fans would ultimately be over critical of this.

Then as you say as long as the money goes back into purchasing somebody new then the everything to improve the team should be high as well.

I dont understand why both cant be high?

My guess would be that "The general manager is doing everything he can to try to improve the team" is measured by the level of activity of the manager.
Things like total time online might be helpful, but the real improvement depends on actions - changing your squad between matches, enlarging your arena, buying new players, etc.

If this is true - it has nothing to do with actually improving the team, or how much money you have. The main thing would be your effort to improve the team, as reflected by activity.

Thus, buying and selling (since for buying you usually have to sell as well) will improve your grade here while damaging your grade in the the section:
"I am familiar with the star players, and am not afraid that they will be transferred"

I have just learned that the fans react not only to selling but already to listing. I listed my 11,5* NT Center and the rating went down to 1 Star/Ball (from sth. like 3 or 4).

If a team has a lot of cash and isn't improving the team in some manner, i bet this drops. How much cash, I don't really know.

I don't have any money, and I get a very poor rating (1/2 a ball) in that category.

I also think that rating is very volatile. Mine is like 1* and it was 1.5* a little while ago since I have been buying, selling, listing players to build up a better squad. However, I also think it has one of the least effect on the overall rating, at least that's what I hope since I don't really understand why my buying/selling stuff should make people not to go to my games although the team can perform better.

I have one example how fans react and how the total attitude is calculated.
Yesterday I played Tournament game and won by 16. And here are the differences from fan survey, before the game and after:

I am pleased with the team's performance last season 3 -> 3
I am pleased with the team's performance this season 2.5 -> 3
The team had a good run in the cup this year 4 -> 4.5
The team played well in our last league game 1 -> 0.5
The team played well the last time they were on TV 1 -> 1
The team played well in our last game against The Ravens, our hated rival 4 -> 4
I am familiar with the star players, and am not afraid that they will be transferred 2 -> 2.5
The general manager is doing everything he can to try to improve the team 5 -> 4.5
All things considered, I am happy with the direction the team is going in 3 -> 2.5

Although I gained in total 0.5 balls, the total raiting went down by 0.5. Seems some answers are weighted more heavily than others. From my example I infer that The team played well in our last league game and The general manager is doing everything he can to try to improve the team are considered more important than other three points that went up by 0.5. Then again, maybe these balls have also inside sublevels...

I don't get a couple of things.
I am familiar with the star players, and am not afraid that they will be transferred
This was like 1.5 stars but I was thinking it was because I am buying/selling players but I haven't listed a player, bought or sold a guy for a couple of weeks now but it dropped to 1 star. I don't really understand how it is affected.
Again cup thing: It was 4.5* last round. I won my game, advanced for another round but "The team had a good run in the cup this year" dropped to 4*. I mean I am making a better run, but it dropped. Any opinions?

read the text above, the survey ain't representative ;)

It depends which fans they ask, so there are little random factors in it.
