Well, i do not know on what conditions you are a BB. Hard to want somebody to quit competitive play, on the other hand it's anybody's choice whether he acept to be A BB or not. As soon as you have access to formulas you should at least abstain from NT things for good. To be clear that should apply to all BBs not you particularly of course.

It's not about cheating at all, but advantage of knowledge of formulas is there.

Hopefully they were the draft picks from rounds 2 and 3.

Well BB-Anthony surely is more probable having (the lowest) buzzerbeater developer potential than all-time great.

That gives me an idea... I think BBs should change the lowest potential denomination from "BuzzerBeater Developer" to "BB-Anthony".

Anthony has further expressed his deepest apologies for the trouble this situation has caused everyone and for the poor judgment that went into creating the current circumstances.
I'm pretty curious, what exactly did he think he was doing. Deepest apologies, for what? Being stupid? Getting caught? Did he not know he was misusing your trust blatantly and editing the database for his own gain, is against any companys policy? Was he 13? Did he even know what BB was beforehand?
So many questions and even more come to my mind. What happens if a person becomes BB, he has access to the formulas. If you have vague contracts (in the area of "what happens when you" etc) or dishonest persons. Guys who might leak those formulas to their friends aswell.
Basically this incident has raised a lot of questions. I never thought the community would catch a BB cheating:( That should of been your job. So that's -2 on the new BB team. Not looking so good...

I'm curious, what are the consequences for BB-Antony misconduct, only ban from BB, or real civil suit? Since he's not an USA citizen, what can you do?

judging by history, i'd bet they'll invade his country

Well this things can happen... If you played other online games you would know that this 'isn't something new', the difference here, is that normally in other online games, the cheaters were gamemasters, but not developers.

I suppose BB's will have more care next time when they sign an employee.

The BB's should all be forced to play 2-3 + one of the ISO's for the next 2 seasons as punishment :D :D :D :D

Jokes aside, shit happens :) I put it down to growing pains and a learning experience for them. Its cool that no one got their panties in a twist about this so far.

To me its an online game that I enjoy. My world's not gonna end because some dude jacked up his players stats!

That said, for all the BBs that have ever come and gone, along with GMs. I do not believe for one minute that they ahve not changed peoples stats, sublevels, fans, income, game outcomes etc. to suit their grudges or whatever . I highly doubt there is sufficient logging, and that it can be modified without anyone ever being the wiser. I think many GMs can do things which no one will notice. corruption happens. People are fallible. Who polices the police? Nobody. TIs the way it goes.

Trust me, as a GM you don't have any tools to gain an in-game advantage. No way to look at the database or anything like that.
All I could do is ban the teams in my league for no reason that are better than me. But I feel like someone may notice that

And most of all, we're not able to change any stats, skills or game outcomes.

Well, in the real world police men can also act different in the same situation so there's never a perfect situation when it comes to cheating and punishment. But you can't do more than trust a number of experienced managers to handle as many bad guys as possible in the best possible manner.

For GMs there is a policy not to handle cases that you're involved in in some way (league mates, etc.) and from what I've seen enough such cases are being delegated to other GMs so as far as I can judge this policy is being followed well.
