I really dislike the rock paper scissors game with the defensive boost. I think it is a really bad move.


I agree with this one. What would be great is if they will propose this "Guessing game" on the type of defense we're using on an opponent. Or simply boost the defense more if they get it right. Ex: When opponent is using LI, using 2-3 zone should have a boost.

I agree.

Setting a defensive tactic should be preparing for opponents offense. This is like a loose patch.

After inquiry. It should be implemented in the next two seasons. Depending on more pressing things to do.

Can you confirm that WO, starting from this season, will drop your team by 1 position in the draft?


In a sort of way I can. It is supposedly already been there for the draft who happened some days ago. So yes, it will also be there for next season draft.

You are wrong. Season 24 draft picks were like all the other years. The next draft will be the first with the new rule concerning WOs. Check Season 24 news.

If I wanted to play rock-paper-scissors, if I wanted to play a game of pure chance, I would do so instead of playing BuzzerBeater.
Something like that has no place in a game where it takes you multiple years to train players and improve your team.
There's already a lot of chance involved and you could lose a season's effort in one unlucky game, now you're pretty much guaranteed to lose a close game if you guess wrong (wrong tactics+bonus) ?
I don't like it. That's not fun.


If you're facing an opponent who does multiple things, you already should be setting a lineup based on which one of their approaches they're going to take, unless you're one of those who puts out the exact same lineups, exact same tactics, regardless of your opponent. If that's the case, you're kind of in the group of people this change is targeted to effect - and as someone playing Princeton/M2M almost exclusively (albeit with different alignments of my players), so am I in a way. So we can look and see is it good for the game as a whole to reward people for not playing cookie cutters and autotactics? Yes, it is, so while it may inconvenience me, I'm encouraged that it's still a change for the better.

For example~
If you predict an LI, you can play 2-3 to stop it. However you will not get a pressure penalty. You will pressure the ball just as much and you will get the inside D and rebound bonus too...However if the opponent plays some other tactic, you will get the normal pressure penalty. Like if they opponent ran a motion...you'd still get killed.

I really like the predicting option. In real life professional teams would study their next opponent watching many hours of tape, have coaches and assistants list down and give briefings on different player's tendency, how the tactic develops, rotations, special picks and plays.

Shouldn't defensive tactics exist for that already? The probelm is that defensive tactics other than M2M often don't work,and because LI is the dominant offensive tactic, BBs decided to pull out this kind of trick instead of developping the game engine to make all the tactics actually available work properly
