Shouldnt loyal player to my club agree to lower salary?

I would love option where I can raise my player salary for lower price.

You could easily find a level 6 trainer with 1.5-2m and salary around 20k. This must be joke but no its just bb.

Incredibly expensive, especially for a "gift" This news announcement should have been made on April Fools Day...then it would have totally made sense!

Pretty useless addition if one takes it as gift with possible usage in long term plans. But ok, good attempt if one takes it as refreshing. Salaries are too big for high purchase price so i think no one will make his player a trainer. Career ext coach lvl7 for 4M and 55k salary is just too much.

I agree with you mate, big salary and big price.. not a gift for me, but OK, maybe someone will like it.

This is where we hold them!

As everybody said the cost is too high even compared to the market which is already very high.

That said, I think we need an announcement in order to understand whether there is more to this change or not (example: would the salary increase? We all assume it will, but who knows).

Good point...however, since the news announcement mentioned eventually replacing the staff member, it's probably assumed that their salary would increase...because for the most part, if it didn't, there would be no reason to replace the guy later if the salary stayed the same.

I see it as just a fun addition that someone decided to code into the game to add something to the 10 year anniversary. It is not a huge new feature and I don't judge it as if it should be. Just a small fun thing like an easter egg that someone bothered to add.

If it would have been too financially beneficial we would have had complaints from people who had just bought a lvl 6 of 7 trainer.

By the same logic if it's definitely not financially beneficial, most people would think it's useless.

Since BBs and GMs said time and time again they want people to make meaningful decision then either they should use the average Fee and Salary for each category of trainer (rather than arbitrary numbers as this appears to be) OR they should have a different salary increase for in-house trainers.

For example, they could make it so the salary increase less if the player is on your team or it does not increase if:
a) you play that player consistently ('role' is rotation player or better); and
b) the salary as a player is higher than the salary as a coach (this rewards people with higher payrolls, who actually are not making much money per week and also are the ones less likely to require a great trainer, so it makes for a perfect trade-off)

A couple weeks ago I bought a 29k salary level 5 trainer for 560k with no specialty. The new feature has a no specialty level 5 trainer going to 600k and 25k salary.

So based on my recent example the price seems reasonable, but I'm sure there's comparable trainers that have gone for less, and probably more. So basically this new feature just means you can save the time of trolling the staff transfer list and just get a guy that isn't too low or too high.

Of course that is based on my recent experience. All in all they could have spent their time better somewhere else improving the game, but it is what it is.

Then they could just use the actual averages over the course of 14 weeks couldn't they?
