I am guessing there are a bunch of teams tied with 1 vote each, so they get in.

I have yet to vote but I will also be voting for me, thanks!!

I got some questions

1) if you are Elected, how would this affect your activity on this game

2) how many players do you think is the optimal amount for any team (including NT)

1) Not sure it will change anything. I have the ability to spend a fair amount of free time on here and will continue to do that. My plan will be to focus first on the NT then on my GM duties and lastly on my club team. I am in tough in Naismith this season so will really only trying to train efectively and not relegate. The NT woulld be my focus and I am really looking forward to the challenge and excitement it will provide.

2) Depends on what a team is training and if they are training one or two positions. My personal team is always around 12-13 as it has worked best for managing gameshape. The plan for the NT will be to carry 10 until there is a reason to add additional players. Those reasons could include poor gameshape, lack of training, player development etc. Around the half way point of season the NT will likely have 12 players and could add one more prior to seasons end.

Ok, I will jump back to the question about the perfect PF. Everybody wants secondary skills but whats the cut off. If we take the player stated earlier
JS 13 Jr 6
OD 7 HN 7
DR 9 PA 10
IS 15 ID 17
RB 15
Would you never consider this player for your NT (given both are perfectly kept at top GS):
JS 12 Jr 6
OD 6 HN 7
DR 8 PA 7
IS 17 ID 17
RB 17
If not, are there any values on IS,ID and RB that would make you chose the second player over the first?

If you dont like the example you can use the all outside skills over 8, if instead all are just 7, how much better must that player be inside to be considered or would he never?

I would take player #1 because he is a better outside defender which would help when facing other PF's with secondary's
plus his passing is good as well oh and his DR. high passing will keep the teams turnovers low(lower) and high driving on a PF is good because then he will attack the basket more( or take more shots from the inside) draw fouls. and is a better shooter as well. :D

Both players would serve a purpose. Player one would be better suited to play against an outside based offence. And would also be better off in an outside based offence.

Player 2 is obviously is a beast on the inside and can dominate offensively and defensively.

The trouble with alot of player evaluations is that they are not really looking at the big picture. I am a firm believer that there are plenty of very successful builds depending how you choose to buld your team. Depending on whether you plan to build an up tempo team or an inside power team the builds of individuals are very different.

NT's are essentially all-star teams that have the best players at the best positions. My goal will be to find which players perform best in certain tactics and determine if particular line ups are more effective.

of course you are right beanerz. there is one thing that might force you to make a decision and not change players every game. I am still a noob (that's why i am not competing) and I honestly dont have time to look through the rules, but i think there is a penalty for calling up more than 2 players per week. isnt there? (logic taken from hattrick). If you play look inside and then decide to play run and gun you might want to replace more players than just 2, and that will hurt ???enthusiasm????

if I am right then you might face a choice like that at beginning of a season, and not be able to change a player every game
