Yeah, I firmly believe that. That's why many managers do something called rubber-banding. If you know what it is I apologize for explaining, but it's where you build up a huge cache of cash, usually by selling off anyone worth something on the AH and demoting, getting some solid long term trainees and filling your roster with decent guys who will make you competitive in IV, but not costing more than say 50k on any fill in. Then you don't really spend the money, you build, save and train until your trainees are really good (say 23 yo?) and then you promote to III and buy 4 or 5 solid players with your cash stash and now you just catapult through III to II and maybe more, depending on the cash you save. It often works, but takes patience, like 2 years RL time maybe or nearly. (there are variations, but this is the general idea)

I tried it but got impatient and promoted before I was really ready, not enough cash. I did fill out my arena though.

Im actually not confident I'll win it this season. I feel I have a chance, but its pretty competitive.

I've never liked the way they do attendance in this game, and even though I have a filled out stadium, I cant fill parts of it even at the lowest allowable price. The fan survey thing is too fickle. Oh well, we play the game it is, not the game we wish it were.

I definitely thought overtime was imminent, but then that foul. I'm delighted Stanford hit at least one of those free throws. It's certainly nice to walk away with the win.
