I make around 250k a week (while spending 40k on scouting) and still expect to make the Playoffs- all that with a team below the salary floor- bots make this possible.

How should I be punished? I am not tanking...

If this luxury tax is aimed at those tanking teams it's again the wrong way. Tanking could easily be made useless. Just drop those numbers of fans attending games to a few 100, sitting on bleachers.

If you lose a lot of games in a row (not counting cup games of course) by a large margin there should be a really high attendance drop, e.g.:
1st game lost with more than 50 points: -25% for the next game
2nd game lost with more than 50 points: -50% for the next game
3rd game lost with more than 50 points: -75% for the next game
4th game lost with more than 50 points: just 500 people showing up

The margin of -50 could be higher, e.g. 60/70/ even 80 points.

That would make tanking totally unprofitable and it would even be realistic.

This change would screw up newbie teams like nothing else we have seen before. To cripple them financially AND give them no chance to win a game would be the worst possible thing to do.

Unless there are exceptions, that make all this even more complicated and simplifying the game should be a priority.

In addition me and my small country peers will lose opportunities to build up game shape, which will lead to B3 becoming a big nation competition, just like the champions league in the real world.

That is a valid concern that merits further discussion.

Edit: Although I believe you meant to write enthusiasm as opposed to game shape.

Yes, I meant enthusiasm... Easy fix: B3 games are played with equal enthusiasm.

5. "The effect of the new promotion bonuses on the market is substantial". Untrue.

I think Utopia promotion bonusses flooded the economy with a lot of additional money, while draining players from the transfer market. Of course now, that the race to the top is over, the situation will become better...

This could lead me to quitting after 30 seasons.........

I have had many championships and cup wins. I have been NT head coach and not much left to win except B3. So I made plans, many plans. Trained, trained, trained and trained. But the market has been rough, and not much has been made last many seasons (making money by training). But my goal is still B3 and I have put away some cash to give it a good run. Still training local players, like I've been doing for around 30 seasons.

Now, this.......... Again I should say. Happened in the game Hattrick (football manager) where I had 1 goal left as well. To win the cup. But restrictions made suddenly, to curb teams with money also wasted the work put in.

Where is the respect for managers that have put in skill and time to develop a solid amount of money? Why take away the hard work they have put in (without cheating........)? I can accept the salary cap as fair. But taxing the taxed is just taking it a step to far.

Exceptions are easy, too. Like e.g. these rules do not apply during the first season a team is playing.

Taking a different avenue from this...

I myself as a fan, would be very upset if I saw a healthy Kyrie Irving (which is like seeing a Unicorn to begin with) sitting on the bench and instead I am force-fed to watch Delladova for 40+ minutes a game.

Oh LeBron, no... we'll let you watch Mike Miller instead.

Facts:
Fans do not buy merchandise from teams for their crappy players.
Fans buy less merchandise from losing teams.
Teams that fail to win lose season ticket holders.
Teams that continually lose are *essentially* forced to lower ticket prices, so that people will bother showing up.
Teams that continually suck have their television games changed to other teams playing

If you're tanking, you don't get as much TV Contract money, instead it gets divided up to the other teams in your league since what would have been your game being televised is now being one of their games instead because its less of an embarrassment, and will have more shares for the TV networks.
