Valley of the Suns - The Valley Boys only had to hold the last 12 minutes of the 4th quarter to win their first-ever PPL Championship. Still, unfortunately due to the well-experienced and well-coached Tools and Equipment side, the Valley Boys fell short for their first-ever division 1 title in franchise history.
While the Valley Boys were disappointed due to their 4th quarter meltdown, the team instantly looked at the squad's future and saw this as a stepping stone for the future. During the season, the Valley Boys had to let go of a pivotal piece in our PPL run with Levy Capinig and Steve Umaguing to get Frederick Morales out of free agency. From Zoran Mrden to Frederick Morales, the Valley Boys realized that they were finally closer to the end goal than from the beginning. With this being Querubin's 8th full season with the club and Arcega's 6th full season, the team needs to be more careful with how the team is moving forward. After the finals, the team had to let go Dennis Hunter Taton in order to provide room for Cyrus Pasiculan. Edwin Doque was also acquired to help the core of the team.
A group of reporters asked what is the goal for this season, while the team fully believes in constant development of Arcega, Querubin and Morales for a B3 run in the future, the team believes that we are more than capable of getting into B3 next season. We will strive to make history this season and we will make sure we will bring home the gold this season.
Season start Saturday at Hoop and the Harm
