Finally, a season late, we're out the door. Left with #2 draft choice and well over 3 million banked. Hoping to make another million more in D2. If things go well, we drop until D3, where our trainees should start to make an impact.
The draft looks promising, more so if half the league or more can't be bothered with a rookie, no matter how promising. Am hoping for two prospects -- not asking for much, 5 ball 4 star A+ 19 year old, a couple available -- rounding out our coterie of trainees: McHugh, hoping to get to 90+ TSP; Muncy, Huddleston, and our two newbies, hoping to get them to 110+. Four bench players. Supplemental drafts every three - four seasons.
D2 squad in place -- $360,000 salary, 4 draft points a week, youth coach -- hoping to clear $100,000 / wk. All non-USA players leave team after D2 goes to D3.
D3 begins assembling the new team. Trainees turn 23 in S68 - 69. Must be careful with cash.
NBBA goals:
-- need to be able to sustain $1 million team salary
-- 130 TSP min for starters
-- exploit all revenue-raising practices, esp. home grown, then all-USA; only exception is for foreign NT players
-- average merch is $160,000 or so
-- TV money is $285,000
