Marcum sat for his periodic questioning from reporters, wondering where the AI was in the scene.
"How was the draft?"
We got a keeper with Oleg something-or-another. Limited upside, but we have three fine folks heading to higher ground.
"What's the roster look like?"
Five good trainees, with even Oleg due for at least two seasons of training. Vik leads a decent bench. But our Cup run will be short. We've reached the sweet spot where the trainees are low-level competitive, so games should be fun.
"What's the league look like?"
Mlody Piast was very good last season, so i expect any wannabe has to get past that team. i like to think the Water are in a second-tier of teams a bit above league average.
"Are you making money?"
We made a big downpayment on finishing the arena. Will be curious to see if the addition of 3500 seats affects revenues. We can cover decent coaches, the draft and our salary and still have around $75,000 left over. If we are successful, that profit should rise to our goal of $100,000 / wk.
"So, when are you advancing?"
No real rush as we get our feet under us and finish the stadium. But i am hoping that once we leave DIII, our stay in DII is short before further advancing.
