Press Announcements

Thank You for your support in Season 69!

Tokyo, Japan -- The Fuji Rising Sun's magical season has ended when they lost to undefeated PPL team PLC7 in the semi-finals 89-115.

''Kudos to PLC7, this is their season to win,'' GM Maro said. ''they are the superior team and is dominant and should go all the way.''

It was a rough night for the Sun's as they only scored 10 points in the opening quarter compared to PLC's 31 points which they never recovered from.

''Four players in the Top-7 MVP's.. damn.,'' Art Cabrera said who led the Suns with a double-double 19 points and 12 rebounds. The rest went cold with Eden Cabrillos going 1-12 from the field with 7 points, 15 rebounds, and 7 assists.

Sure, the Suns were aggressive with 25 free throw attempts converting 23 but that is no consolation since they were dominated right off the bat.

Still, Suns owner Yo Chi was proud of their accomplishment. ''We are Top-4 in the PPL, right?'' He added, ''coming from Division 2 and making our mark in the Premier League is no small feat.''

It was a magical season indeed as the Suns left their mark in several categories: #1 in FT% (0.924); #3 in APG (25.4); #14 in TO (9.1); #2 PPG (105); and #3 in Ratings (13.4).

''It's been awhile since we are here so we might as well compete in the next couple of seasons,'' Maro said.

The Suns went 6-1 after losing against PLC7 only losing against Gwapsak (105-118) in their last 7 games and they were satisfied to lose against the best in Premier League.

''We will be back!'' GM Maro confidently said.
