Personally I'm trying a defensive, FCP-only strategy on my Utopia team (where all players have high stamina). Too early to tell if it will be effective, but it's an interesting idea.
My suggestion would be a variant of your #2 - to see if Princeton or RnG with pure offensive builds is a viable tactic if run as the primary offense. For a very long time the accepted BB philosophy is that high OD (and to a lesser extent, IS) are the critical skills - I'd like to see a team make a viable roster that doesn't adhere to this.
At the end of the day, you are the guy with the YouTube channel... so if your idea is to do tutorials for new players, maybe it's best to build a cookie cutter team. Although personally I think new manager training and retention is Buzzerbeater's responsibility, not yours.
