It's the end of an era as the Village Idiots say goodbye to its longtime star, Gil Farris
(49134091), who departs the team after 16 seasons. Drafted by the Idiots in its inaugural Season 52, Farris maxed out his all-star potential with a unique Power Forward skillset. He was a major contributor in the team's rise from Division 4 to Division 2.
Farris departs the team as the career leader in Games Played (440), Rebounds (4933), Assists (1159), and second in Points (5628). In Season 62, he led the team to a III.10 championship and was elected League MVP. In Season 64, he led the team to a quarterfinals cup run, and to the round of 16 a season later. He was elected to several all-star games.
Due to the recent overcrowding with the team's big-man rotation, Farris saw his minutes drop the past two seasons, and will continute his career elsewhere. Gil Farris had an incredible impact with the team, and is being honored with an immediate induction into the team's Hall of Fame. ...
