I see that he was tired to start the 4th but immediately hit the jumper , then a great assist. He was soon clearly struggling, fouling and eventually off for most of the 4th from what I can see in the play-by-play.

Well, he is 36 years old, so this isn't a bug I'm sure. He's old, played too many minutes and ultimately the fatigue got him. Tough luck on the loss.

Let me clarify the title's "32 mins" – it refers to the player being on the court for about 32 minutes when exhausted.

Yes, I noticed that. However, the player is old and the 38-40 min is an approximate guide not an absolute. Your 36 year old player got tired quicker.

The following is my lineup.

With this lineup and coach picks from the depth chart, is it normal for player exhaustion to occur?
I think what I want to ask is: when using such a lineup (two backup positions using the same player) and the coach picks from the depth chart, was it originally intended in the design to allow the possibility of player exhaustion?

That seems to be a question for a GM.

Is it that your player has low stamina?
NO, it is strong (8), and the other starter's is prominent (10)

Since you let the engine control your sub pattern, and your sub player is absolute trash compare to the starters, the engine was "forced" to play Yiping too many minutes.
At least I didn't make players with a weekly salary of 200-300 the backup players. (Just joking!)

In yesterday's BBM game (133642358), one of my players was once again exhausted.

No injuries and no six fouls.
The following is my lineup.

Unlike the previous game, there were still three extra players on the 12-man roster.
Of course, there is a significant salary gap between starters and backups.

I still want to ask BB the same question: With this lineup and coach selections from the depth chart, is it normal for player exhaustion to occur?

The following is the information for the PG and SG positions.
Starter:
Zheng Ka Lun (48388369)
Weekly salary: $ 260 459
DMI: 3640000
Age: 35
Game Shape: strong

Zhang Jing Bo (48079995)
Weekly salary: $ 58 586
DMI: 927200
Age: 36
Game Shape: proficient

Backup:
Lee Xiao Xuan (52578547)
Weekly salary: $ 36 977
DMI: 404100
Age: 24
Game Shape: strong

By the way, their stamina are good.

He had 33 minutes out of 37 possible at the point where he got tagged with exhaustion, so he clearly wasn't being substituted enough earlier in the game.

Given that Xuan was backing up both Lun and Bo, I'm not really surprised that the coach put Xuan in for Bo first, since the salary and DMI eyeball suggests to me that Xuan is much less of a drop-off in skill from Bo.

Personally, I don't use coach picks so I can't speak from experience on how much that influences the substitution decision. But it seems reasonable to me that the coach would favor Lun over Xuan unless Lun's stamina was very depleted, given the difference in skill between the two players, especially if Xuan is already worn down from substituting for Bo before he switched to PG.
