Could a clever, dedicated manager arrive at a reasonable approximation of an answer using the information the game already provides?
No, because
(1) too many unknown variables. There are 10 players on the floor, each one with 14 (partially unknown) skills, plus all the team variables, plus a random variable for every shot. The only known thing is "the shot went in/out/blocked"
(2) the game engine is at this point a big mess of layers over layers of incompetent programmers applying full of bugs modifications in response to the demands of whining clueless managers.

The fact is that there has not been a good study based on games data in years.

So yes, the more info we get to navigate through this mess the better.

Additions

- All-Star Voting: A player is only qualified for 1 position. That position is the most minutes he played in league games this season. One of the biggest factors in voting is rating. A player only needs 1 game to qualify for voting.
- Fan Survey: Player Role (Draws a paycheck, Regular Starter, etc...) does not impact fan survey
- Fan Survey: I am familiar with the star players, and am not afraid that they will be transferred is based on # of transfers per season and average tenure of your players.
- Merchandise: If a player doesn't qualify for League Rankings because of # of league games, it will impact your merchandise.

For non english speakers:

Tenure basicaly means how stable or how long unchanged your roster is.

I had to google too. Thanks for the interesting update tho

This means theoretically, you can drop up to 5 skills?

If player has 28 OD, he drops 10% once, thats 2.8, he drops 10% twice, thats 2.52 more.

This would be a 28 ----> 23 drop.

Correct?

Spoken in the context of a Private League match with a 20 JS player paired against a 1 OD player. We were speculating why the 20 JS player didn't have a much better game, given the easy matchup.

The doc level at the time of the injury does impact the initial injury (higher level means more of a chance it is only for the game).

The actual length of an injury is not determined at the beginning (only the estimated length). Recovery/treatment happens every daily update (using your current staff/infrastructure of that day).
