it is for that reason that i will never be doing the write ups again ... i cant be relied upon to objectively judge anything

Haha i wasn't trying to have a go at you. Especially since it was a drunken write up, i'd say you did pretty well. There's always going to be a game here or there throughout the season through the leagues that needs to be reviewed, even sober ones! :P

Don't worry Smeltz you did a great job, one little mistake doesn't matter as long as the main job is done and we have a hassle free and friendly appeals process.

The A B A or often A A B votes format are mostly mine, it is the school teacher in me still wanting to give something to the losing side. Heck I have even given 2 or even 3 once to a player from the losing side in a blowout if they really were the best player on the court by a mile. I certainly don't try to follow any pattern but I do try to give the losing team something if they had at least one player who was good.

I think for this particular case Judge C-Cat will have a very easy time.

Perhaps, but it stops everyone appealing every game :P
If you appeal and win you can appeal again in the future (this season), otherwise you have lost your chance to appeal a game again that season :)

Naker is right, you can alleal infinite times as long as you are corect each time. As soon as you are wrong that is it until next season. This is because the appeals proces is supposed to fix up clear mistakes not split hairs on line ball decisions. All the prople that write up the games each week put a lot of their time and effort in. If they make a clear mistake they wont mind it being pointed out but being criticised over trivial things that are clearly just opinion makes it a lot less fun.

So if there is a clear mistake appeal away and I am sure C-Cat (and the writer will support you) but when people want to argue the decision on a photo finish they are risking their right to appeal. It works very well this way in the NFL and I wish they had something similar in the NBA, it would improve a lot of calls.

I agree with it stopping people appealing every week, but even the NFL gives you 2 goes ;) Not a big deal, just thought it was a bit strict that was all.

Ok well not much point going into much detail for this one, its a pretty unanimous decision and i agree with everyone else. No point doing a write up for it lets just go with llama's predictions

3 - Zuras
2 - Svornix
1 - Howarth

Decided on Svornix for 2 purely based on the fact he was Zazz's only player, he had 24 of his 30 by 3/4 time so it wasnt as if he took advantage of the scrubs on in the last to pad his stats. So lets go with the above and the half of the league who appealed it can all have another shot later in the season!

I agree with these votes.

However, I must admit concern at the prospect of people strategically appealing the MVP votes of games they're not involved in... :/
