I think All-stars game would generate revenue, such as ticket sale, merchandising, TV game, etc... can I get a portion of that income?

I suggest a bonus system should be introduced. For example, you would get $10,000 if your player(s) had been selected as starter(s) of All-stars game, $5,000 as a sub, $5,000 for 3-point competition participation, and the winner of 3-point competition/MVP of All-stars game would get another $5,000.

And then the players should ask for that money to go to them as a bonus for making the All-Star team, and that can lead to a discussion of the economics of the game and the grim reality that we are going to lock out the players for Season 23.

One problem I see is 3pt contest pArticipants generally are in patient offenses. So even if I had a guy who woulda been in there had he attempted more shots... He won't if I don't run an offense to take advantage of that.

Also it's generally typical that the Allstar game is made up of the top teams only usually... I am in 3rd... Have the league leader in assists and he wasn't voted in due to training reasons and playing diff positions. He took votes from my guy who off bench is a top rebounder...

Etc. and I'm sure there are other teams with similar situations. If we attach money to as game. We'd have to overhaul how selections are made too... And guy before me brought up good point of as and MVP players demanding more salary if we attached money to those...

This idea makes sense in theory. However, like hrudey said, you'd then also have to think about increasing all-star player's salaries next season, kind of like how NBA players often have bonuses or other clauses that earn them money for achievements like being named an all-star or scoring titles. Not sure we want to pay higher salaries.

Also, for some people, some of their best players are their trainees, who may play only one game per week as they try to get multiple players 48+ for single-position training. So it penalizes teams that train top talent, because they are less likely to get all-star votes and thus miss out on extra revenue. Then there's the question of LI teams not getting a fair shake in the 3-point contest, and how offenses in general affect voting and such. So basically, I think it's a nice idea but really hard to implement fairly.
