This has probably been suggested before, but I think it would be a good way to liven up games and make them more exciting. Basically, players who are more aggressive (draw/commit more fouls) would be more likely to commit technical fouls. Technicals could come at many different moments; it could be for complaining about another foul or call against them, celebrating excessively after making a good play, etc. IMO, this could really make games more exciting, and it would make players actually feel more like people, since different players would have different personalities.

Even though there is lots of people who say the game is bizarro basketball and not realistic , the irony is these same people would cry on the forums if they lost a tight game and had a few technicals against them.

Technicals are a part of basketball, I personally don't see any problem with having them, and I wouldn't be angry if I lost over a technical. It's like losing over an injury, it's just something you can't control. Although the people who have suggested to remove injuries probably wouldn't particularly love this idea.

I can see your point and I think I wouldn't complain about loosing a game by techs, but I guess this goal would not justify the effort to implement techs in a realistic manner. If this suggestion has a chance to come alive, do we have a counter for techs, so that players would be suspended for a specific number of techs? How about techs for staff members?
I would also like to have the possibility of a flagrant 2 in the game or did I miss that feature so far?

From what I've seen, BB has stuck to NBA rules (12 minute quarters, farther 3-point line, etc.), so I think, to stick with NBA rules, if a player gets 2 technicals, they should get ejected. However, technicals should not be very common, and it should be rare for a player to get ejected on techs. I'm not sure about staff members getting techs, I think it would be better to just stick to players for now. If coaches with different skill levels were ever implemented, I could see it working, but as of now, I don't think so. Also, yeah, flagrant 2's would be pretty cool, I don't think they're in the GE right now.

there are flagrant 2s in the game

when a player gets 2 flagrants they are ejected from the game and their name shows up in purple/brownish colors

example: (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/46157355/reportmatch.as...)

fast forward a few minutes in and you'll see J. Coleman get a flagrant 2 and get ejected

I don't think that was actually a flagrant 2.
He had a flagrant 1 before and just collected another one. I suppose he got ejected for being assessed with his second flagrant 1. AfaIk that leads to an automatic ejection.
I've never seen somebody ejected for collecting just one flagrant.

I understand your point. But people are already complaining about stuff in this game. Adding something like Technical fouls could really piss people off and push the game into the wrong direction. Many other things would take precedence.

(Sorry for replying late, haven't really been checking the forums)
I understand, and I know that there will be people who complain about losing games over technicals in the forums, but the thing is, they won't be that different than the people who complain about injuries or shot clock violations or whatever. They'll complain in the forums, say they'll never play this game again because it's "rigged," and then a day later, they'll come back and keep playing. There are so many variables in the GE right now that make games unpredictable, injuries, flagrants, foul out's, etc., that adding technical fouls just fits in, and to be honest, it really wouldn't make that much of a difference.
