Hey group

Welcome to Season 40! I'm hopeful we can have a more active forum than in the past.

We've got some interesting pre-season country rankings going on. Lot's of parity. I don't have any predictions to put out there, especially because the financial aspect really dictates so much as the season progresses, but I will say that for my own purposes I'm hopeful I can make the playoffs. I'm still training a large group of young bigs with Nunez at 23 at the older range. I did okay in the draft, but certainly not great. And I've got a decision to make on Willy Williams as to whether I think it's viable to train a 26 year old (I've had some success here in the past).

What are your plans for the season? Anyone dumpster firing their team? Anyone making a play for a big acquisition? Anybody want to declare they are the team to beat? Anybody planning demotion, or feeling over their heads?

Hey Everyone,

Thanks for starting the thread Jbogroff! Sorry I'm a few weeks late to join it.

I'm excited to play with all of you again this season, and hope that I'll finally get over the hump and move up to Div II.There are some great teams as usual in this league so I hope I can avoid making the kinds of missteps that have held me back in the past.

I'm down to try to be more talkative if y'all want to get this board more active than it's been in the past.

-Kamal

At 2-2 to start the season with one of my trainees going down last night for two weeks. Oddly, every opponent has gone normal on me to start. I'm hoping my bank of enthusiasm pays off. But I've got a super tough match this week against you Kamal. You came on super strong late last season, and I wouldn't have been surprised had you knocked off New York (I don't think he would have either).

This is my second time in Div III, two seasons ago I promoted off a perfect record in Div IV, won four games and was relegated back down, once more last season I was promoted off a perfect record in Div IV. My goal is simple, win more then four games and fight to not be relegated back down :)

Our game was pretty close for most of it. Definitely a valiant effort considering the Injury.

Ans yeah, I thought I had an alright shot last year, but the NY dragons were just a little bit better when it counted.

I don't know that the injury would have impacted the outcome. I also unintentionally went normal against you, and I'm bummed that I didn't bank the enthusiasm. My bigs aren't on par with yours. One is a converted SF (Nunez), and another is a converted SG (but with low shooting skills for the position). Both of these players need more ID and REB.
