Thanks. That was a fantastic game, and I was very lucky to get the win.

It’s Hipster Bears on our side. Rip City is pretty tough as well. You guys look like you have four contenders. It looks like a real battle over there for home court.

An emotionally based purchase!

I let go of my backup PF/SF and have been looking for either a starting PF/C or backup. So this was in the works since moving that other guy. . . but totally offended (!); )

Well that’s a power move. I will continue with the scratch and claw my way to unlikely wins method lol.

Don’t see anyone beating you now.

Yeah I don't think its me, I don't have much to add and feel like my guys have peaked, and having terrible luck with GS to start the season. I'll probably finish somewhere 3-6th.

Maybe? The Deronimo Cup draw is killing me. I'd hoped I wouldn't face a top 50 team until a bit later. I made the final 16 of last season's Cup, but man this is a tough early draw and it would be devastating to both my economy and enthusiasm to get eliminated so early. The extra BBM revenue alongside Cup revenue makes this temporarily sustainable.

Every once in a while I try to "shoot the gap," and "go big." This is usually followed by a relegation series the following season, or even (ugh) demotion.

Right now I'm trying to max out my two young guards as much as I can and take advantage of some 33-34-year-old talent around them. They're my core, so really everything else is just window dressing at this point. Expensive window dressing - any of whom could be liquidated at any moment as part of a restructure.

Historically I've liquidated about two weeks prior to playoffs if I don't think I'm able to promote or make the finals. I like rebuilding in the final two weeks of the season because you get all of the other teams who are eliminated dumping their guys, and the prices haven't completely spiked yet.

But, oh those economics. So, yah there's probably more moves coming. I'll probably move a backup big, and replace that with a cheaper small forward or something like that. I moved my aging PF too soon. I was so afraid of him slipping that I kind of got short-sighted on what he was contributing to my team, and the cost-effective nature of his salary relative to that contribution.

this is a great group of managers. I'm loving the competition and dialogue. And my historical inability to beat Yuck (dating back to even my previous run in BB as Rip City / Heathcliff Attackers) still holds true. Yuck, you own my franchise. ..care to pay the salary too?

Hipster - this sets up the classic line: "its not you its me." But I don't think that means what I think it means.

Maybe I'm just grumpy - losing last season and being close to broke hasn't left a ton of options without shaking up the squad
