A great idea sir.. but I would just like to add some scenarios here.. and would your idea to improve, or give us more clarifications

It would be cool to have some feature that resembles what happens in real life (nba) with the draft picks. They are used as assets and can be exchanged for other players between teams.

Great if its a trade between team in the same Group only. but very Problematic if its a world-wide transaction.

My idea is: give the seller of a player the option to sell his player for money or for scouting points, that way there would be two types of auctions one where the bidders uses money and another where he uses scouting points.

It really is already hard to sell Players on TL how much more to your group? this could be prone to cheating... and probaly will be harder to detect if the transactions would be visible to your group only.

Regarding the value of the scouting points in the auction well.. supply and demand will take place. But remember that it costs $20.000 to get 3 points, so $6666.66 per points is a good reference. Nevertheless im sure those who bought the scouting points wont be willing to exchange them at their pair value, because their is no profit for them. But, either way its up to the bidders to decide how many scouting points they are willing to pay for a specific player, and it should not be regulated of course.

dont forget there is also the max 4 points per week option.. and remember that the one who gather scouting points also endanger their Economy weekly... so from 6K per points it almost doubled... to 10K per Points... so it would also be a good proposal that... every point we can buy/sell could have a miinimum of 20K each and can that price can be controlled up by the seller... so the buyer first should use their 4 points per week option before considering this kind of Scouting trade...

I liked this idea of rookie players transfer between teams of the same Group... but should not be limited to Scouting points to player transaction... their Salary is easier to predict and if they will adopt the current system pricing players of debotted teams (x10 of thier current salary)... coz most of the time Potentials too play great influence to pricing... for example how much will you trade a drafted aandwell trained 18 year old with great starting TSP that is now 20 years old?

that is 3,000,000(sellling price)/20,000(per pont) = 150 points wich is hard to really collect

Why is it problematic for a world-wide auction?

It really is already hard to sell Players on TL how much more to your group? this could be prone to cheating... and probaly will be harder to detect if the transactions would be visible to your group only.


In my opinion you should be able to sell the player to any manager in the world, just like it is right now with the money auction. The same system to detect cheating can be used just switch the currency and # values.

Yes, again, maybe the tittle is confusing but I undestand that the suggestions are better if they dont requiere big changes in how the game works right now, thats way Im not saying to trade players for points, im just saying use the same auction system but add another one in which you can sell the player instead of for money for scouting points.
And im not saying that the only players you can sell for points are recently drafted players, every player in your roster just as you can sell for money you can also sell for scouting points.

Its hard but no impossible. Either way I dont see this being an issue the natural thing to happen is that scouting points wont get you as much options as money in the auctions just because their value is not high enough. But it will still be a possibility for less expensive players.

It could be the transfer of low potential Players for illogical amount of points from newbie teams (intentionally or unintentional) and if theres nothing we can do to intervene with these transactions...

You have a really good suggestion... hope they can find a way to balance the game elements needed into this feature and implement it.

Can BB set the first or second pick of each league at $500k or above? The seller would pay the tranfer tax, based on the players sold in the past 14 weeks.

Newbies usually have about $300k and could not afford such price, and $500k for 18yo 5 star potential would be an gamble.

Such search can be a new function after all star week every season, and allow other teams to bid from $500k. As the standing of each league might still vary between all star week and end of season, it's just purely a luck whether it's worth or not.

It might be good to save 18yo high potential players from BOT.

All is possible to a Programmer... that feature is not impossible to Marin to do if he wills it...

the suggestion is iteresting but how will it be fair to the 2nd Drafte picker who also have tried to tank games just to get that 5 and 5 Balls Trainee and even considered relagating just to do it? just to let the other dominant Team steal his prospect by buying out the position? how can it be fair to them?

It's just dependent on luck, maybe 1st draft pick missed the top prospect, so 2nd draft pick get that 5 and 5 balls trainee.

It's up to the rich to make a bid or not, or the rich teams can wait for the last minutes to make a bid until the standing is final.
