Second Games of the Season Rolls with Rematches in Last Season's PlayoffsIn the Big 8 conference, the second games of the season consists of a rematch of the first round of the playoffs as memongs visit Manila Bombers while palengke brawlers plays against Pampanga Dragons in their own court. Through the first three quarters, Another Round was able to build a double digit lead, and it looked like they will easily take the game. However, with 50 seconds left in the third quarter, top reserve Eliano Zeni went down with an injury. Luckily, Another Round was still able to maintain its lead, but down by 10 points with the clock against their side, the two headed dragon comprised of Waldemar Szmigiel and Marc-Pascal Glueckert started taking over the game. However, with 44 seconds left in the game, Glueckert fouled out making it easier for Another Round to double team Szmigiel. With their stout defense, they overcame poor free throw shooting to win 107-103.

Manila Bombers used a strong second quarter to defeat memongs
After a tight first quarter, Manila Bombers would break open the game with a 33-18 second quarter and they maintained the lead throughout the game. Sergijus Dmitrakovas led memongs with 15 points on 7-13 shooting but most of his team mates were contained, shooting an average of 36% of the field. Xiao Kangbo of the Manila Bombers continues with his hot start with 34 points and six makes from downtown.

In a rivalry where the road team has never won, Jungle Bolo .45 wins another home game against remedial kings, despite playing a 3-2 zone against the inside offense of remedial kings. Loh Leong Tong of the remedial kings was able to score willingly as he made 11-16 field goals to score 23 points. However, so was Rizalino Ortigas who made 14 of 24 and finished with 30 points.
Edwin Calope was unstoppable but palengke brawlers lose
In what may be his final game as a brawler, Calope scored relentlessly, displaying his repertoire of inside moves to keep the game close until late in the fourth quarter. But with the game on the line, legendary scorer Julius Mamicpic worked his magic scoring 13 points in the final period as Pampanga Dragons outscore their counterparts 36-27 on their way to a 107-95 victory.
Team Polydozel loses despite displaying the league’s most imposing frontcourt
Even though they designed a defense to stop WPS Sentinel’s inside attack, their opponents quickly found holes in the 2-3 zone to obtain a double digit lead in the first quarter. While WPS Sentinels slowed down a little after the first, Team Polydozel was unable to generate their own offense as WPS Sentinels continuously built the lead to win the game 90-66
