Per the below table Chicago Bulbs II and Glasgow Raptors were similar in game rating and average player rating, but either the Raptors had a bad shooting night for the ages or Chicago Bulbs II put on a 2nd consecutive defensive masterclass as Chicago won out 83-50 thanks to the Raptors' 18.9% shooting night and 7.1% shooting from 3pt range.

Celestia BC set up with the rare 1-3-1 zone defence knowing Bibby Brotherhood would play Run & Gun tactics and ended up with a rare wondrous rating for perimeter defence making Bibby's 81 points a relatively strong effort against it.

Santa Booker had their welcome continue as they were double-correct at GDP and played with more effort so reached an equal 125-125 game rating with Dropito along with 1.2 extra average player rating, but were beaten by 16 pts, seeming to have no answer for Dropito's PF Štrbac and his MVP of the night performance 22/19/10 triple double.

Glasgow Blue Jays also seemed keen to extend their "big-leagues" welcome to a recently strengthening Locomotive Edinburgh with a team strong enough to put up the highest game rating of the night for the division, and while after dominating the 2nd and 3rd quarters a Blue Jays win was never really in doubt they saw enough of a challenge put up that the final score was a competative 100-91.

Bibby Brotherhood's 175 point night is the clear 2nd highest scoring night in the division under recent match engines in both a standard league game and against a full 5 man starting line-up and could have been more points still (see https://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/forum/read.aspx?thr... for more about high-scores if you missed it then). Starting Bibby PG Willum Atlason was 42- 2 - 5 - 4 - 1 at half-time, and even though was shutdown early due to garbage time still finished 49-2-6-7-1 with 20-23 shooting and 8-10 from 3 point range in 29 minutes for a ridiculous 61 efficiency night.

For the defensive equivalent, Glasgow Blue Jays held Pic Pedrosa scoreless until the very last second of the 1st quarter when they allowed them 1 free throw point. 12.8% shooting and 7.4% from 3 meant Pic Pedrosa didnt have quite as bad a time as they had against Chicago Bulbs II but it was still not a fun night for the Andorrans.

Santa Booker and I both played Normal against a Take It Easy but they double-missed their GDP having Celestia BC playing Look Inside rather than Patient and got a 107-63 beatdown for it, while I double-hit mine. Dropito shooting 19.2% from 3 to my 47.4% did the rest in an 11 point victory for Locomotive Edinburgh.

The nearest thing to a bad beat of the night tonight was Revolta Culé, B.C who had the highest game rating of the night, but having said that were only 0.1 better in average player rating than their opponents and they tied 157 each in efficiency as they could not stop the Santa Booker starting guards combining for 75 points and lost 136-133 in overtime.

Skyturrnar missed their GDP having me play inside tactics (i played patient), and I double-missed having them play either isolation tactics or base offence (they went run & gun). They had 0.5 extra player rating, I had 8 extra efficiency and thanks to a run of 3 pointers largely from Ásgeirsson (9-18 from 3 in the game) late in the 4th quarter, Skytturnar won out 131-127 and were likely relieved to do so.

What a game!!! You have a really clever team. I normally not see much of the games but I saw this one and have the feeling it had huge effect when your player injuried as he had been very important for you.
Happy he will not miss games.

The lost of Revolta was for me surprise and can cost a lot as the fight for the top 4 in incredible. They are now number 6 (af before) but have now 2 points to work up so they need very good run in last 8. Not impossible but hard

I think in the end I just caught Ásgeirsson on a shooting heater especially in the last half of the 4th quarter. Every time you got the ball then I was hearing the Jaws theme and it turned out last night it was my turn to be Quint! Serves me right for the rare double-missed game day preperation really as even a single miss in that might have been enough to give me the victory with the home advantage and you also missing.

It's Revolta next for me on Tuesday before I return to the Great 8 fixtures, but unlike Santa Booker I am away in this game so I still expect another tough night despite last night's result.
