We wanted to share in more depth the S58 changes, and have this thread for Q&A.

Exhaustion:
The short roster tendencies have been addressed from a variety of aspects, the latest being the implementation of the player exhaustion in all matches except for scrimmages, starting on the first league game of the season, July 30th, 2022. While this change won't affect most managers at all or very slightly, we believe it will prevent using short rosters as effectively as they were at the top level of all competitions.

Overview of player exhaustion:
- it only affects players who are 27 years old or above.
- it can happen only after a player has already played most of the match without much rest (hasn't been subbed enough).
- it does not affect injuries nor does generate them.
- An exhausted player can continue playing (although the GE usually finds it better for them to sit).
- An exhausted player has their energy severely reduced so they perform at a much lower level than usual.
- An exhausted player can come back into the game, although they most likely will be suffering from some energy loss.
- Anytime in the 4th quarter if the player has not been subbed out enough* during the course of the game, any action he makes may cause him to become exhausted.
* There is a specific ratio of rest a player needs to be safe from exhaustion. For example, Subbing for 30 seconds in the first 3 quarters is not enough.

Of course, since BB is ever evolving, we will monitor the effect and possibly tinker with it over time.

Consolidation:
For our Utopia users, this is nothing new and has been implemented from the start, making sure teams are grouped with as many other human controlled teams as possible. Since we already give human teams total priority in promotion (over bot teams), we decided to implement this new team placement starting this offseason!

Of course, there are some other aspects to this:
1. Top league teams won't be affected, of course.
2. Most human teams will change their current league and move laterally to new leagues of the same division - but now they will play mostly human opponents!
3. To offset possible losses of income, we will match the promotion awards for all promoted teams - no matter whether they are playoff winners or just promoted due to available empty slots!
4. Fresh and newly signed up teams will be placed in leagues populated only by bots or other such teams - to make sure they don't get overwhelmed right off the bat. We consider all teams 1 season or younger "fresh"

Training Minutes:
How many weekly minutes each age group need for full training?
18-19: 45 weekly minutes.
20-26: 48 weekly minutes.
27+: 40 weekly minutes.
Note: One minute buffer is placed for all age groups, which means 44 minutes is also sufficient for 18-19 age group.

Ah! Sounds good

As an example, we take a country with semi-filled division III. Division II stay as it is. Suppose that a team in division II is promoted to division I due to available empty slots. Will it get the "full" promotion awards (for example, season ticket holders)?

I understand the new minutes required for training relevant to the player's age, but is this also referring to Game Shape or is that still separate?

Sorry, returning BB player...trying to get the new changes.

For example, an 18 year old can now do 45 minutes to receive training (compared with old 48 min)...but do they still require 55-70ish minutes to achieve max Game Shape?

Thanks

Hi, the Game Shape minutes are separate and not affected by age.

Great. Thank you for that.
