I guess none of my players will have a chance for MVP since my last opponent sabotaged my run for records yesterday (knowing wouldn't had one anyway ;))

Obviously not everybody was competitive this season.
Unfortunately I will have to deal with them next season again, but at least there will be the salary floor. So they will have to do something with their rosters and maybe avoid insufficient lineups ...
