Good evening this is Howard Cosell. Inter league play is in full bloom as teams jockey for position like thoroughbreds in the derby. The lather of mid season and the fatigue of competition has many fans sleepless in anticipation of their team’s results as their gladiators face battles on the court. The 6th place Brewskies host a battered and bruised Suffolk team who will be without the league’s leading scorer Victorio Lizana Lezana.

And here on ABC, Brent Musberger will join me to call tonight’s feature matchup between the host Breathers of Mouth, sitting in 5th place and the powerful 3rd place Lumberjacks of Hayward.

And hold the phone fans, GillThunders is coming off of their first consecutive wins of the season and will try to make it 3 in a row against Bammablue. Can blue stem the Thunder’s roll?

And finally the game of the night is happening down in Deronimo where two second place teams battle it out. For this we go to Cosell’s Corner where Howard sits down with Nate Wallis.

This is Howard Cosell and before me sits a mountain of a man who’s gigantic stature masks the brutal disappointment he carries inside; unable though not through lack of effort, to lead his franchise to championship stature. Nate you’re 34 years old facing a hungry Masters of BBall team tonight. How are you feeling?

Well Howard don’t paint me with eld’s brush prematurely. I know it’s easy for you to look back on a life of disappointment but I’m happy with my team’s chances and my career. We’ve got a great owner and we’re in this thing.

Fair enough Nate no harm meant. But how’s your health these days?

Probably better than yours Howard.

Well Nate I can see that I’ve agitated you and I hope in some manner that it will fuel your competitive spirit tonight against the Masters. No doubt you have the heart of a champion.
