the only thing I can think of regarding Baker street playing CT was maybe trying to get to number one by point differential ??? )so they would not be placed against Balls of Steel ?? :)

Well it looks like my time in III.10 is coming to an end. I though I had enough to avoid relegation and stay up, but alas, D4 is calling. One of my main trainees will probably have to go, along with my C.

I just don't know if it is worth the hassle anymore.

Good luck to the rest of you trying to fight your way out of III.10. In my 50 season in this game, this has been the biggest challenge of promotion without bankruptcy.

Pro tip: Optimize your arena prices. Looks like you spent the season with your bleachers only 2/3 full because the ticket prices were too high.

You should be selling out (or close to it) just about every game. Low ticket sales will put you at an economic disadvantage, and BB is an economy game at the end of the day. You can compete if you have the finances to support it.

DIV is anything but quick easy money. You have to dump quality trainees because you will not make enough to cover.
Dwelling in III relegation is the easy way to make money. My plan was to skirt relegation this season to be able to afford a shiny new SF and PF to make the push next season. I guess I could have bought those players to avoid relegation, but I didn't and I am now paying the price.

Your 100% right. In a normal season I would have been on that. This season I just set my lineup every week to insure training mins and called it a day. Its my own fault. Next season I need to maximize every $$ just to make sure I can afford to keep my 2 trainees.

And just to keep it above board, I did not intend to tank and drop down this season. Gone are the days of the profitable tank. You used to be able to run a 10k roster out there, lose all 22, bank 10 mil over the season, get the first pick, draft 2-3 5* A+ A+, sell them for 5-8 mil each, load back up, train 6 players for the season, sell off 3 for another 5 mil, and be back twice as strong with a huge bankroll. As I said in my last post, the drop down causes more financial heartache then sitting in current relegation. I really wanted to promote out of this league, it would have been an accomplishment.

I will defer to you. All I know is around Season 15 I got bored with BB and went from DIII to DV. Sold off everyone that made more that $5,000. I had my players salary $5.00 above Player Salary Floor to get TV money. I won just enough games to stay in 2nd place in my Conference. I made a good bit of money. Then I got bored with that and rebuilt a team.

Finances may be different now. Maybe D IV is the sweet spot. Dont know, I have been STUCK in the MONEY PIT for 6 seasons!!! I might blow it next season, drop down to D IV then come back up and try to get in an easier series!!

In season 15 you could become a billionaire sitting in D4 and selling draft picks. A decent 18yr HOF was 5 mil easy Good ones were 10 mil +. Now your lucky to get 1.5 for a 6k stud. The market place has totally changed. And that was without salary floors so you could literally have a 4-5k roster or 10-15k with trainees and just bank money while training NT players. That stopped when salary floor came in and the rookie transfer market shifted.

If I'm going to keep going I don't want to sit in D4 or D3 for 2-3 seasons waiting. I really wanted to avoid relegation this season and maximize arena next season and make a run for D2. I have 3+ mil in the bank to buy SF and PF. Now Im probably going to have to sell Either Lucky or Grey because both their salaries are going to be more then the salary floor in D4. No way I can make money with $150k+ wrapped up in 2 players in D4.

I have been in the same Money pit almost continuously since joining III.10. 2 seasons ago I spent 7mil on players and avoided bankruptcy by one week only to lose in the championship and not promote This D3 division is unbelievably hard, but again, i wanted to promote out of here. Not go this way.

Oops! sorry, I was hoping I played against the 6th or 7th spot in my relegation series, I wanted to avoid playing you.

If you want to keep it positive about it look at it this way you think this is a hard D3, you can go win D4 and restart at a different D3.

Sure you waste a season in D4, then go up hopefully into an easier D3 win in it one or two seasons, better then staying here 4 more season going no where.

We had GMs that in the past they just thanked the season just to get out this division and try their luck in some other D3 division.

Yep, I may be doing that next season. Just spinning my wheels here. and my bank had dropped by 2 Million JUST to stay in this money pit series.

While I do like to have active managers, I like active managers whose teams are worse than mine !! lol
