Financially driven. As long as I was in the Cup, everything was copacetic. The other factor is this league. I love being in this league. So rather than winning at all costs toward promotion, I decided to dump salary and go with a young asset. I’m probably not done making moves. Worst case scenario I get bumped in the playoffs and come back to a freaking awesome league. Those are hard to find.

Rip moved about 170K a week in salary off his books with the recent transactions. Totally understand the economics behind the moves.

A word of caution about taking too much of a liking to this league and deciding to stay, however. It is a lot like the Hotel California.

You can check out any time you like, But you can never leave!

Ahh, one of my favorite albums! Well the last playoff spot in big blue is going to be a wild ride! Gonna be a lot of scoreboard watching over these last three games.

I am really confused on the standings in Red, as of Oct 23. Big Haywood v. Kitties match on 10/22. Kitties knew they had to win the match, to pull even in terms of records, and then move into 1st place on goal diff.

But look at standings on 10/23 after the match - Haywood - 15-3. Kitties - 14-4. Not sure why it is not: Haywood 14-4 and Kitties 14-4. Haywood and Kitties both have 4 losses, if one pulls up the schedules for each team.

Haywood loses (in league matches)
08/24 lost to Incomp
08/27 lost to Kitties
09/24 lost to Rip City
10/22 lost to kitties
14-4.

Kitties loses (in league matches)
09/14 lost to Rip City
09/21 lost to Derinomo
10/08 - shocking loss to Gill (stupid injuries)
10/12 Loss to Baconators.
14-4.

What am I missing here?

Tuesday’s game isn’t represented in the records/standings yet. We are both actually 15-4.

That time you sold your best post and then your new best post gets injured the very next game. On a positive note, hello single position training.

I fire my Dr every time someone gets injured. The last 2 guys seem to have gotten the message.

It's always interesting to me how many different strategic decisions we can make in this game.

Does anybody spend draft and scouting? I spend $0 on it myself, because my philosophy is that I can save that many and acquire the player I want instead.

And now Tuesday's games are in the standings. (that had not occurred to me).
Just glad to know that I am not going crazy - at least on that particular point.
