The Irregulars Win First Game Under New GM

The Baker Street Irregulars won its first game under new management, with a strong victory against Studs21, 85-65. Although the Irregulars defeated Studs21 by a 20 point margin, there are a lot of improvements that still need to be made. The Irregulars allowed Studs21 to reach the free throw line 21 times, while only reaching the line 12 times themselves. The Irregulars were aided by poor shooting by Studs21, who shot 30% as a team, led by Casey Mulligan with 15 points. Five players of the Irregulars reach double digits in scoring, led by Nelson Vinson with 15. It was announced after the game that George Hamilton had been voted onto the All-Star team as a reserve, who rewarded fans with a double-double (13 points, 14 rebounds). Rich Murray left the game early in the 2nd quarter with an injury and will be out two weeks. This is a devastating blow to the Irregulars, but the rest of the team seemed to have picked up the slack the rest of the game, who put the game out of reach at the start of the third quarter when Studs21 did not make a field goal until the 6 minute mark. The Baker Street Irregulars sit atop of the Great 8 conference with a 9-4 record, which bodes well for the players as the new management promised no major changes would be made until the offseason. If injuries start to mount for the remainder the season, management may have no choice.
