Euro Dream Over

With the Protugal win over the Dutch team, our journey in the Euro competition is now practically over. The point difference is unreachable after tonight's matches. Portugal's big win made them with 97+ PD ahead of us, so regardless of the outcome in the final round we just can't reach the so wanted 2nd spot.

We lost tonight against the Italians. This was an expected result and part of the season's plan; from the moment the schedule was out this match was targeted for enthusiasm "investment". That can't be said for the match against Greece. It's true, I was hoping for a win in the 3-rd round, but we were just short with 6 points. We weren't able to use the services of Lian, and I'm still convinced that if he was available to the team we would've made it that match.

Crunching the Portuguese was part of the plan. We were going to use the CT even if we won against Greece. Again, that was the plan since the schedule was announced. Last weak was just one desperate attempt to create a mix-up in the group and force the Netherlands team to Crunch the Portuguese and steal a win. The CT most likely happened, but unfortunately the result didn't come. We were cheering for the Dutch tonight.

Even though we didn't succeed with the scenario and Euro dream is practically over for us, Norge NT will show up strong in the final round. Finishing 3-rd in the group, which will mean the best ever result in the current format of the Euro's, is the consolation prize we are highly motivated to achieve.

Go Norway!
