The beloved franchise of Talentinho has been known for consistency through the years. Since the start of season 12 we have been playing our hearts out at the highest level the Dutch League has to offer. It has been a long and wonderful ride, but as stated in previous press releases, the team seemed to be stuck in purgatory.
With season 22 looming around the corner, the GM has decided to take a step forward. During an interview he was quoted: ,, After 10 seasons at the highest level, we've only had the sweet taste of total victory once. Just once. During our stint at the highest level we've made the playoffs 3 times, finished 5th 3 times as well and won our relegation series 4 times. It is about time we start rewarding our fans for being loyal for such a long time. A national ranking of 20 is nowhere near the spots we are vying for.
After our only prize during season 19, we made an enormous overhaul to the roster, with one of the hardest years to play this game from a fun point of view. But because we took it upon ourselves to not give up, we survived and drafted two future cornerstones for this franchise. The young ones are making great strides, but they are not ready as of yet, to positively impact crucial games.
The fans however, deserve to support a winning team, that plays good, solid, fundamental basketball. A team of blue collar players, which do their utmost to improve. With that goal in mind, the franchise has decided to improve the squad with some interesting players, while retaining its flexibility in the long term.
We are going to contend every single game next season, we are going to the playoffs and we are going to take it to every team that stands in the way! Though we are not the clear cut favorites, we believe that once we're done dealing the next couple of days we'll be able to give every team a run for their money. The final improvements will come from our homegrown players and two special players once we are in 'win-now' mode.''
Sh*t just got real!
