U21 Promises an exciting outcome

After deliberation from other coaches, new coach Katchafire Collie announced the lineups for the youth team for this season, to play for the National Team Round Robin Game to be held in India.

Collie is no stranger to the national team, as he would be guiding the youth for the second time. The first time being a youth team manager to season 8, Collie focused primarily on training youth players, who, we can see as senior national team representatives, and some can also be seen playing successfully on the big leagues in Spain and Italy. And now, he's about to do the same this season.

"Compared to previous seasons, we had a decline of managers training Filipino teensters. We thought that the sudden boom of teams would be participating in training players and yet, what we've got was the opposite."

"But who's to blame? No one, That is. So I think this would be a great time to invest again, to scout and find the prospect and what we need in our team, and that is our youth players."

Some managers may agree to disagree with this plan, as some teams prefer foreign players and run their team based on the status of the economy. But Collie just prefers to "find those teams who are in pride of training the younger generation of players and focus on rebuilding for their team, and the National team."

"Everybody is welcome, just send me mail if you have talents that are currently in the plans of training, or if they need help on what to do with their trainees"

The press also asked Collie if he could help others who train foreign trainees rather than the local ones, he smiled.

"Of course I will help, but it would be better if they train fellow Filipinos."
