Sports narratives are often the epitome of unpredictability, and Mihkel Poom's journey to MVP glory in Division 3 League 15 perfectly encapsulates this. Initially a quiet presence, Poom, known as the "Baltic Beast," defied expectations with a late-season surge that left spectators spellbound.
All Echidna's had patches through out the year stuffing the stat sheet throughout their emphatic 22-0 regular season. Poom's 5 game finish to the year averaging 32, 10 and 5 and over 4 steals and blocks on the defensive end stole the voters away from early front runner and teammate D-Mac.
Mihkel has been ill for the the start of the post season and is seeking a return for Game 1 of the finals at home against the Mooloolaba. Echidna's hoping to close out their undefeated season with a sweep of the Mudcrabs.
