The previous note was written on the eve of a 22-0 season and promotion. Two key players, Wilson and Ares, were added and helped put us over the top. But DIII has proven more difficult than imagined, making that perfect season shine look gilded and peeling. This league has proven very competitive, but the training has become more clear. Whether we make money or not next season is still not clear, although prospects are not promising.
Wilson is locked into PG, Lawson SG, and Raitums at SF going forward. Faidel and Areas are down low, with promising trainee Abbas already a capable inside guy at 19. We have Garcete at SG, and Andrews is 19 and has the makings of an effective PG, although his potential is limited. Vik, Martinez and the Russian round out the squad.
i think this squad will lose between $75,000 and $100,000 a week in DIV next season, although i hope to overwhelm by keeping my current squad intact. If we have regained some fan support by the end of next season, then ...
