Bowling Green – The Bowling Green Sharks kicked off a new era in style, crushing the Slums 103-49 in their first home game under new management at The Shark Tank. A lively crowd of 4,683 fans filled the arena to witness the Sharks’ commanding performance, led by standout players Damian Betancourt and James Yates, who topped all scorers with 24 points each.
The Sharks set the tone early, leading 56-24 at halftime, and never looked back. Three players recorded double-doubles, showcasing the team’s depth and versatility. Betancourt earned Player of the Game honors with an impressive stat line of 24 points, 5 steals, and 5 assists, while Rimas Pelekauskas dished out a team-high 8 assists to fuel the Sharks’ relentless offense.
“We came out with energy and executed our game plan perfectly,” said Betancourt post-game. “This win sets the stage for what’s to come.”
