In the playoffs:

Dallas beats Pony Express! Looks like a hard fought game on equal effort. I guess if there is a season to have the top seed lose, it'd be in our crazy conference.
Deportivo wins by 36 in a match where neither team could guess the tactics right Could this guessing game finally catch up to him in the finals?

In the relegation games:

Village Idiots sends burlington packing to d4 in a high scoring contest

Dark Matter put in the extra effort to force a deciding game against Balls of Steel

Vietnam pulls out all the stops to ensure a home win and get a game 3. It looks like Chicago rested some players

Wow! D.S. successfully defends its conf. title by flexing some muscles to let the challenger know is not time for that streak to end...., maybe next season.

Congrats to A.Z. Sunburn on a good season for the last 3 seasons you have improve your standings, good work , I have to admit after our last regular season game you got me worry and forced me to break my in case of an emergency offense haha , and bring my big salary guys to play, I avoided running my offense through them as much possible and hoping I could save them for the finals, oh well.

I have to say, A.Z. you picked the wrong time to move away from what it was working, that's for sure, sucks that Abel Carter was injured, I don't like to win like that as I said before, and I do wonder if that play a factor in how you chose to played me.

Then we have the Great 8 semifinals Pony Express hosting Dallas Rhythm, this game ended up being the more entertaining out of the two, as I expected.
Little by little Dallas was locking down Express' offense then in the third it put on a clinic and I thought that was it for Express, but then came the fourth and looked like Pony was about to return the favor and make a come back, but then out of nowhere Rhythm got loose and made a strong run to seal the game, Dallas has been peaking at the right time for sure.

Pony Express I know how it feels, been on those same shoes a couple times since I have been here in this particular D3 league., better luck next season.

Also congrats to Dallas Rhythm you are on a roll, your franchise may be young, but you're playing like a seasoned GM, very scary to be honest, and now I guess I'm in your way....

To all the Big8 teams that won their relegation games congrats on proving me wrong, good luck in your next game.

So, the table is set we have our two finalist and Obviously, now I get to play against the one team I couldn't beat this season, haha haha
I'm starting to get that feeling I'm never promoting out of this league.....

Hey, You are right we couldn't get each other tactics right, but when you win by 36 pts does it matter if you guess the tactics, right ?

If I have to pick between and a big win or guess the tactics right, spoiler alert!!! , I pick big win...haha haha

Good question will it catch to me in the finals , dude I'm playing the one team I couldn't beat,
I don't think not guessing it correctly is going to make lose any less .....

As for the Dallas vs Pony, for a change is nice to see the GREAT 8 be this competitive, for a good awhile before now, it was pretty much the Big8 that was stuck with all the competitive teams and the GREAT 8 having the one top team that just rolled through season and post season without breaking a sweat all the way to the finals.

Also congrats on winning your relegation game...
We will get to see you next season again.

Congrats to both Deportivo and Dallas. You guys definitely earned your spot in the championship games. Best of luck to both teams.

By the way, my game plan was altered because of Carter's injury. It was not me ditching what worked but trying to put together a lineup to be effective versus your team. I was a little surprised that you went playoff crunch against me since you had won every game we have played. I accept the respect that caused you to do that.

Thanks, buddy.

I was wondering if Carter's injury really affected your game plan that much since my squad was able to contain him to 13 pts in our previous game.
Don't worry you will get the rematch sometime next season.

Dude, after barely beating you by 7 points at my home with the same enthusiasm, I had to make sure I didn't waste a 21-1 season on holding back for the finals, when I haven't got there yet, imagine had I lost cause of that?
of course, I have to show some respect, like I said at the start of the season, I had your squad picked to come out of the Big 8, luckily I was able to defend my title.

If our previous match had ended like our first of the season with my squad winning by 30 pts or so, oh yeah a different story, or had I known you were going to play me differently, I would have played you Playoff Normal.

Maybe next time send me an email letting me know ...JK!

PS. when wishing the other side good luck remember if you only wish me good luck if I win I get out of your way

Ok, Everyone we are mins away from tip off, for today's schedule games.

We have two relegations games going, Vietnam Vets and Dark Matter taking their shows on the road to avoid relegation
hard to win on the road, and against the two times defending MVP of the league to make things harder, none the less best of luck....

Then we have the first game of the Finals as the main game of the night,
Deportivo Saprissa hosting Dallas Rhythm go early in the season beat D.S.,
making it look easy, so this one can go either way.

Personally I'm hoping my squad is able to force Paris Palavos in to taking
more shots that he did in the previous game, but making less of them....

Let's hope this game goes without any injuries, so we can enjoy it better.

Now, LET'S GET READY TO RUMMMMMMBLEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Dark Matter almost made it into a Dark Day for Balls 0f Steel....behind at halftime our cagers were able to pull away on the strength of free throws, and perhaps some exhaustion on the part of Dark Matters players.

So Steel is back for another season in III.10

Now I just need to figure out how to win without losing money!

some interesting notes from my game with Dark Matter

difference was my team made 29-33 free throws while Dark Matter only made 10-14.
also my team blocked 13 shots, while Dark Matter blocked ZERO of my shots.
has any ever seen a game with zero blocked shots by a team?

The final score does not indicate how close the game was. It was not until 6 minutes left that I got a double digit lead. and not until 3 minutes left that the outcome was not in doubt.

Dark Matter stayed in the game by making 13 from downtown, while Balls of Steel only made 3 from behind the arc. Guess that is what happens when one plays Look Inside!

Alright!, the long an anticipated Game one of the Finals is in the books, it appears what Deportivo Saprissa needed was some good old fashion home cooking to get their first victory of the season over Dallas Rhythm.

The game started at fast pace and stayed that way for much of the first half, but at the start of the second half viewers bare witness to why these two teams are facing each other in the finals as they both displayed some serious locked down defense with both barely scoring 14 pts each, and wearing down both teams starting 5, but in the final quarter D.S. bench proved to be deep enough to hang on to the victory.

Now we all travel to House of Blues Arena, for game two were Dallas Rhythm will try to get some home cooking of their own going to even the series in hopes of a game three where winner takes all.

While D.S. will try to shut the door on Dallas Rhythm and close out the series, to avoid give their opponent life.

Ps. I have to admit I was surprised that Paris Palavos only took 11 shots in this game, which I have to say it was a bit comforting....

I did tell you guys that the best team out the relegation group for the Big 8 was Dark Matter, unfortunately at the time D.K. was pairing with petersburg, but for the other team D.K could be trouble.

My team a lot times don't get a single blocked shot in a game is not that unusual to be honest.

Congrats! on your win.
