Well... I'm actually about as happy with that loss as you can be for a loss. We stuck right with them (Latvia U21) until the end of the 2nd, when they started to get a small buffer. Even then, we were within striking distance right up until the end of the 4th. Yes, we played Normal to their TIE... but #75 vs #38, I'll take that loss and be happy with the result. Rankings liked it too, as we climbed from that 75 to a #72. Small victories.

From that match, again the "Double H" of Hutton/Hanson stuck out. Very good performances, Hanson's FG% was a bit eye-boggling - tho' no-one shot particularly well. Mathew Williams (who is on the TL - at an outrageous price) was fantastic, pulling in a dub/dub at the 3 slot. Statistically, we were on par with Latvia too... except for shooting. That, was the difference in the teams.

Looking at the other matches in our pool:
* Magyarország U21 87, Malta U21 36 (ouch)

* Belgium U21 96, Crna Gora U21 79 (Montenegro are fielding a pretty good team this season)

* Slovensko U21 108, Schweiz U21 119 (The Swiss are strong too)

Looking ahead, we have Belgium then Hungary (Magyarország) coming up. Two very tough games that may get pretty ugly. I may give some of the back-ups a bit more court time in these matches...
After that, we have the aforementioned Montenegro, then Malta. Two games I'm looking forward to. Then we finish off with the Swiss.

Quinlan moves to the bottom of the roster as his GS is mediocre, and his manager doesn't seem interested in GS at all. Guy's playing almost a complete game, every game.

I'll be keeping in touch with the owners of the 18yos I named last time (I have 'em bookmarked), and may add 1 or 2 in the weeks to come. Our roster is painfully short, so I don't mind using a few spots for promising 18yos.
Keep me posted if you find any guys I haven't, and also if new guys join - that might be our best way to get new blood.

Mathew Williams is still on the TL. I suspect he may not sell this go-round, but who knows what his manager will do. If he re-lists him at a reasonable price, maybe someone here can grab him. Solid player.
