2 OT Shocker!

Anestis Dalkidis' dunk off of a James Elmore pass got the New York Chunks a stunning double-overtime upset win in their Division II debut. Against rival Phi Slamma Jamma, the televised game featured the overmatched Chunks against a playoff team, a challenging start to the season. At home, the Chunks' narrow 102-100 win puts them in the win column on their first chance. Though PSJ looked sluggish, they still looked like the better team easily erasing a 13 point 3rd quarter deficit within a matter of 3 minutes, and constantly hitting big shots down the stretch in regulation and both overtimes. Dalkidis' game winning slam was only necessary after a huge game-tying three-pointer in the closing seconds by a relentless PSJ team.

The Chunks hope to keep getting lucky, but the opposition probably won't be taking them lightly here on out.
