Chunks Fall to 7th Place

The New York Chunks continue to struggle mightily, adding another disappointing home loss to the list of poor performances this season. Still without a single road win, the Chunks dropped to 4-8 while falling into 7th place. With one game left until the All-Star break, optimism for a better second half is now fading. The only positives left for the Chunks has been the rapid growth of rookies Donnie Rivas and Steve Banfield. The Chunks will likely be heavy underdogs in their three remaining non-conference games before heading back into their conference schedule. A 16-loss season is looking very likely.

However, in a very contrasting show of great luck for the Chunks, they have once again drawn an opponent in the National Cup Tournament that should spell an easy victory. The Chunks are making the team’s deepest run ever into the Cup thanks to an extremely soft lineup of opponents thus far. Assuming another easy win this week, the Chunks will have a Cup match during the All-Star week for the first time ever.
