Season 16: Meet Me in Peru

Season 16 is an even numbered season, and what happens in even numbered seasons? Why you're right! It's continental championships time.

This season, the tournament will be held in Peru, as teams from the Americas will battle for supremacy. The teams that make it to the playoff finals will be rewarded with tickets to the season 17 world championships. They also will receive shiny trophies. The teams that roughly finish in 3rd to 6th place will earn spots in the second chance qualifiers, which occur during the first three weeks of season 17. The other 15 teams are sent directly to the consolation round.

As a new group of 21 year olds (and some 20 year olds) prepares to represent Canada, there are some very interesting players that will be looking to make a name for themselves. There is de facto team captain Gerry Stavridis, once a $6 million dollar bonus baby, who will be looking to lead the way. We have Hadley and Stronks, a pair of HoF guards owned by Griffin, who will be trying to prove that they belong right next to Gerry in the team promo commercials. In the middle, Williams Rivas will do his best to pick up the sizeable torch left aside by Glenn Richards. These are the biggest names for us at the moment, and there are many other players in the mix that are eager to attempt a "Frank-Guest-esque" rise from obscurity to heroics before our very eyes.

While for the U21, the names always change, the goal of the team remains the same. We will be doing our best to finish in the best possible position that our team can attain at the end of the season, while having lots of fun along the way. Whatever happens, the Canadian U21 should be in for some exciting adventures in season 16. All aboard the U21 train!
