2nd stage: Indonesia,

Addendum: a moment of reflection is in order following the news of a Tsunami striking Indonesia late Saturday night. Ours is a silly little game, but it is vital in this international season of good will that the holidays represent that our hearts go out to the Indonesian people in their moment of tragedy.

Tonight's coverage opens with a snow blown shot of a stately home with a sign out front "Santa's workshop" . As the scene cuts inside we see Kris Kringle stretched out in his Barca lounger remote in hand with images of our warriors as Santa starts to make notes as to who's been naughty and who's been nice.

Announcer: After originally looking like they would be home for Christmas our intrepid competitors get the chance to continue. First up a rematch with our scrimmage partner from several weeks ago as Indonesia is the foe. The first time around even though it was just a scrimmage it was the most even handed performance put together by our squad. But as the saying goes, past performance is no guarantee of future results. At this point though in many ways we are playing with house money, we were not supposed to get here, and we're not really expected to be a factor in the proceedings. The players and staff however beg to differ. Alas it is a rough road the team prepares to travel, but the trip as they say is half the fun, and this team can't wait to get started.


Post script: well I get a lump of coal in my stocking for that one. That is what I get for trying to be cute.
