Eugene Smith Emerging As a Superstar

On a franchise that is known for trading players away mercilessly, Eugene Smith has been the one constant on Eclypze. Purchased from the team Effort shortly after the season 13 draft, Smith has been on the team ever since.

He has had his ups and downs throughout his career. At times he was plagued by foul trouble. He has also been called a "tweener" for lack of a true position. While he is a multi-skilled player, the type that is normally plugged into the SF spot, Eugene has played all five positions, everything from PG to C. It is expected in the future that he will be more a PF has his outside defense has never been up to par to be a true SF. In fact when Eugene was a rookie his outside defense was at the atrocious level, due to his lack of foot speed (which also gets him into foul trouble) and he has worked tirelessly to improve on this area.

While Eugene is not the best player defensively, it is his silky smooth jump shot, his tenacious rebounding and his all-around game that really impresses people. "There isn't another player quite like him in all of basketball", team owner Smedlock said. Last season he averaged 26.6 points a game and 10.4 rebounds per game. He is at a level now where he can carry the team to victories, but Smedlock has stated that he will continue to be trained and improve over the course of the next two seasons, by which time he should truly be an elite player.

19 pts, 12 reb, 4 blocks and 4 three pointers is nothing to sneeze at. But yeah, point taken. Smith's pimp stick is being overshadowed by Alonso so Alsono is probably on his way out.
